*this is a case study from a real-life mother who reached out for help. We share our case studies in the hope it may help other mums who are in the same, or similar, situations. Not everyone parents in the same way, so please do not judge, criticize or demean these mothers and the parenting choices they have made in the best interests of their babies and their families.

Babies: Auron and Nox

Age: 3.5 months

Mother: Stephanie

Naps: Catnapping and no routine

Room: Baby sleeping bag

STEPHANIE WRITES:

From birth, we had to rock our boys to sleep and were mostly guessing on when to get them to sleep. This was very exhausting with two babies! The boys would only ever sleep for 45 minutes at a time, so I felt like I spent all day trying to get them to sleep, for them to wake not long afterwards.

We talked about getting help for their sleep. Little Ones was the first and only Program we tried after seeing it on Facebook and especially because they have a Multiples Supplement to their Programs.

I purchased the 3-12 Month Program and started implementing it with the boys when they were 3 months old. It took 2-3 weeks to get our days on track, but the difference is amazing. We now have structure to our days; I know when they need to nap and I know for how long. I also know what to do when things go wrong and/or when we have a different kind of day, such as swimming lessons at midday. Our boys learnt to self-settle with the gentle methods in the Program and we can now just take them to their cots, place them in and they will put themselves to sleep. Such a change from rocking them for ages to get them to sleep! We have a two hour lunch nap most of the time and I have those two hours in the middle of the day to work, so I don’t have to do any work at night when my husband and I have our time together.

OUR CONCLUSION:

Auron and Nox needed some structure in their day to ensure they were getting enough sleep at nap times, leading to good restorative sleep overnight. Once Stephanie implemented our Sleep Program, she could make sure her boys awake windows were perfect for their age and make some easy changes in their sleep environment to help their settling and sleep. Her babies were able to start settling with minimal to no help from their parents, which means that everyone in this family is now well rested and happy! A little bit of routine can make a big difference!

"Our babies are settled and well rested during the day and there is little to no crying when it’s time for a sleep! The Programs are great and the Little Ones Village is also such a valuable source of support and information. I love reading how people are doing and what can help."
